Father's Day is almost here, which means there are only a few days left to pick out the perfect present on your dad's wish list. Although store-bought gifts are a great option, sometimes homemade presents can be even more special.

Creative cards

Disney's Family Fun Magazine reports there are a lot of fun cards kids can help make for their dads this June 17 – one being the camera card. For this project, you'll need a clean, wide jar lid, black acrylic paint, black card stock, a photo of your kids, glue and a silver paint marker. Start by painting the clean jar top black and then cut the photo of the kids to fit inside the lid and glue it with the rim side facing outward. Next, fold a sheet of black cardstock paper in half and cut out two sections on top to create the flash for the camera. Add more camera details using the silver paint marker and finish by placing the lid on the front of the card, making it look like your husband is taking a picture of the kids. Have the kids write a message inside like "Dad always makes us smile."

Clay mugs

Another great idea for dad is to head to a local pottery shop to let the kids create a unique mug for their dad that he can bring to work with him to think of his family at the office. Have the kids use your husband's favorite colors on the mug and see if they can come up with a fun message to include, such as "#1 Dad."
